Dress Code

Neatness - Modesty - Comfort - Safety

We believe that school is not the appropriate forum for displays of slogans, fads or fashion statements. We discourage slogans and logos on outerwear. Discrete manufacturers' logos and place names are allowed, as is the St. Paul's logo.

St. Paul's dress code strives for neatness, modesty, comfort, and safety. Clothes that are tight fitting, revealing, or excessively baggy fall outside our guidelines. Our dress code applies to grades 1 through 8, recognizing the unique quality of the activities in which our kindergarten students are engaged. Please try to avoid camouflage, fighting themed or military style play clothes.

Except on optional dress days, jeans or jean like clothing is not to be worn. While we do not require polo shirts to be tucked in and worn with a belt, only one shirt-tail is to be visible. The general rule is: navy or khaki on the bottom and no black. For girls, shirts should not open more than four fingers below the collar bone, skirts should be no shorter than four fingers above the knee, and shorts should be no shorter than five fingers above the knee.
