Now, the important thing if we work as an employee or a director in a big company especially in the international company, having business communication skills.

There are a lot of skills that we will need to learn if we want to become more successful in the business world. Business communication compromises a number of things. First, broadly speaking, it means being able to address other employees or other businesses, whether the communication by meeting with people, on the phone, and also by e-mail.

We will feel more confident, if we have excellent business communication skill. We can do business presentations and public speaking in front of our client or people in public well. Being successful at all of these, it will certainly help us to get ahead in the business world. How imperative each skill is will obviously depend on the line of business you are in.

Public speaking is an art that requires a lot of practice to master. Even the most confident of communicators will find it quite challenging the first time they make a speech to the public. Just how challenging will depend on the number of people you are addressing.

Those people learning public speaking will often practice to speak loudly in front of their family or friends. As part of this art, you will need to learn to speak clearly and control your speed in speaking. You also have to know how to look at various members of the public as you’re speaking. Sometimes, this particular skill is extremely difficult for most people.

There are some tips when you are doing public speaking in front of public:

  1. Know the needs of your audience and match your contents to their needs.
  2. Know what your material thoroughly.
  3. When you are presenting in front of audience, you are performing as an actor is on stage. How you are being perceived is important. You have to wearing a dress appropriately. Look pleasant, enthusiastic, confident, proud, but not arrogant.
  4. You have to pay attention to in your body language. Use appropriate gesture and facial expression is preferred to sitting down or standing.
  5. Do not reads from notes too many.
  6. Speak to your audience.

Presentations are also tricky. Not only must you be able to speak and look at people at the same time, but you’ll also need to know how to multi-task. Many presentations are made in boardrooms or conference rooms and involve using Microsoft Power Point. You’ll need to be able to stop/start your presentation and interact with your listeners as well.
